Tea Rooms Launch Loyalty Card Scheme

19 June 2012

Staff and volunteers at Carmountside Tea Rooms have launched a brand new customer loyalty card.

The cards which are available to all customers will enable regular visitors to the Leek Road based refreshment rooms to claim a free hot drink for every six purchased.

The Tea Rooms at Carmountside are run by staff and volunteers from the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and are part of the hospice’s growing portfolio of innovative ideas that help to raise the £9 million needed annually to keep the organisation going.

Every penny of profit made at the tea rooms is donated to the hospice to help fund its range of care services.

As well as offering hot and cold drinks the Tea Rooms sell a range of mouth watering cakes, biscuits and pastries. A comprehensive light lunch menu is also available featuring jacket potatoes, paninis and homemade daily specials.

Guy Clarke, Business Development Manager at Douglas Macmillan Hospice said,

"The Tea Rooms have been trading steadily since we opened in October 2011.  We have worked hard to build up a customer base and now have a number of regulars.  We wanted to reward them for their loyalty as well as encouraging new business."

The Tearooms are a very pleasant relaxing space and are ideal for those attending services at the Chapel, tending to a loved one’s grave or enjoying the well kept grounds.  They are open seven days a week and assure all visitors of a friendly welcome.

To find out more why not visit the Tearooms which can be found adjoining the waiting room at Carmountside.
