Hospice Shops

You can support the Douglas Macmillan Hospice through our shops. Click here for the location of our shops

You can buy goods.  Our shops sell a wide range of donated items including adults’ and children’s clothing, furniture, toys, bric-a-brac, books, and a number of new goods, such as cards, candles and branded items..  All of these are at affordable prices.

You can donate goods.  We rely on our supporters to donate their unwanted items - so have a spring clean, clear out your cupboards or send us your unwanted presents.  We’ll turn them all into funds that will directly benefit local people and their families.

Donated items can be taken to any of the shops during 9.30 to 4.30 most days.

Alternatively why not organise a 'Bag It, Bring It' - a collection in your work place.

Telephone our Hotline for a bag
01782 344339 or email shops@dmhospice.org.uk

You can work in one of our shops.  All of our shops depend on volunteers, who help each Branch Manager, sort stock, clean and serve customers which enable us to keep our costs to a minimum so that the maximum goes directly towards funding patient care.  Our volunteers enjoy working as part of a team, gain pleasure from supporting the Hospice and enjoy the social aspects of meeting with customers.

You can spread the word.  We'd like as many people to know about our shops.  Please help us by telling anyone who you think may be interested!

Restrictions on items we can sell...

90% of our stocks are donated goods and therefore we are totally dependent upon local people to give us their unwanted clothes, furniture and bric-a-brac. Sadly we cannot accept or sell everything we are given

• Electrical goods
• Mechanical items
including bikes
• Upholstered furniture that does not carry a fire retardant kite mark
• Toys We accept most toys - however we are unable to accept soft toys due to safety regulation

We look forward to welcoming you at one of our shops near you soon!
