"Dot would tell everybody that the hospice is "a truly wonderful place" and that the standard of care is "beyond excellent".
That is why mum was a regular giver and so that the hospice can continue its magnificent work.”

Dot Griffiths, a local campaigner for the breast cancer wonder drug Herceptin to be made available on the NHS, spent her final days here in the hospice. Even before Dot was diagnosed with cancer, she supported the care we provide and was a regular giver to the hospice. By giving a regular donation to the hospice we can plan more effectively for the future and maintain the level of care which people living in our community with cancer and other terminal illnesses have come to rely upon. Even a small donation on a regular basis can make a big difference in helping us plan ahead.

  • Last year we cared for over 1,800 people.
  • For 2010/11 our running costs will reach over £8 million, that’s over £20,000 each day!
  • We receive only 27% statutory funding, the remainder of our income comes from our generous supporters including donations, fundraising, our lottery and 15 shops. We are completely independent and do not receive any funding from any national charities.

Together with your generosity and our specialist team we can achieve the very best quality of life for our patients and their families for whatever time they have left together, no matter how long or short.

It’s simple and easy to set up a one off or regular donation for just £2 a month, or you specify the amount. Just click here to access our Just Giving page to make a set up a regular donation from your credit card, debit card or via paypal.

Alternatively, click here to download a form to be completed and sent to us, here at the hospice, to create a standing order.
