The Education Department at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice provides
information, education and training to facilitate evidence based
practice for all professional practitioners involved in the care
of patients and families living with cancer and non-cancer conditions.
The special needs of disadvantaged groups who require palliative
care are also recognised. Education and professional training
aims to integrate the physical, social, psychological and spiritual
dimensions of care in order to improve the quality of the patients
palliative care journey.
