How will you raise money for Douglas Macmillan Hospice?
Take a look at a snapshot of some of the many ways people have
raised money... Time to be different... Wear something different for a day and get sponsored. You could
even turn dressing up or down into an event at school, work or
a club you attend. Riders from Poplars Farm did something really
different and held a fancy dress horse ride and raised £5,000.
Time to be musical... Children from Roundabout Day Nursery raised £300 from their sponsored
nursery rhyme singing.
Time to be physical... Kelly Parr and her brothers organised a car pull from Trent Vale
to the Hospice in September 2006 in memory of their mother, Ann
Parr, raising over £7,000. Time to be creative... If you have a flair for making things then why not sell them to
friends and family. Nora Griffiths and her daughters sold handmade
cards and jewellery at different events raising a fantastic £576. Time to be stylish... Staffordshire University Students Union organised a Diversity
Fashion Show and raised £816.
Time to be daring... Take the plunge and be a Dougie Mac Daredevil - skydiving, white
water rafting, abseiling. The sky's the linit!
Time to go to your local... Visit your local pub and restaurant, gym or shop and see if they
will help to host an event with you.
Time to be amazing... 2 ladies ran the potters Arf Marathon holding collection boxes
all the way! You could hold a collection at church or work or
even run the Potters Arf in June.
