In order to thank the volunteers who support the Income Generation Team and share the fantastic income results from the last financial year, a Tea Party was held at Porthill Cricket Club on the 11th August 2011.
Karen Rose, Director of Income Generation opened proceedings by thanking our volunteers. Karen said: "We are blessed to have such a variety of people who are happy to help and bring such a range of skills to the hospice. Whether, by offering office support, serving in the shops, helping out at events, manning stalls and stands or a range of other weird and wonderful duties we truly appreciate each and every one of you."
A programme was produced and handed to all attendees which included an update on what is happening in the hospice and information about the three teams within Income Generation. To access the hospice update, click here.

A game of bingo was followed by a tombola, while the Income Generation Team waited on the volunteers, serving food, cakes and strawberries with cream. This was all washed down with a nice cuppa, or for the more adventurous, a cool glass of Pimms.
The evening was rounded off with the Income Generation performing their own, customised version of ABBA's "Thank you for the Music". To view the lyrics of this song, click here.
Around 100 volunteers attended the event and all enjoyed the evening and appreciated being waited on by the team.
The Income Generation Team would like to thank all their volunteers for all their hard work and support.
