Douglas Macmillan Hospice is more than just a hospice. We are a second home to many who need continuous support and care.
Our mantra is to significantly improve the end-of-life process for our patients. We believe in providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social care to ensure minimum stress and anxiety toward the end of their life.
Many people don’t see themselves as a ‘carer’ when a loved one falls ill however your support is vital in supporting your family member ensuring the least amount of difficulty as possible for everyone involved.
Providing this care can have a big impact on you and it takes time to adjust and find ways of managing.
Our Family Services Team is specially trained to support the whole family, including children and teenagers.
We will be there for you during and after care takes place to safeguard your well-being throughout.
Douglas Macmillan Hospice offers specialised care for patients over the age of 16 who are suffering from a life-limiting illness when a cure is no longer possible.
