Cheadle Businesses Chip in for Royal Ride

A number of businesses from across Cheadle and the surrounding areas have pledged their support to Duncan Cowans’ ‘Royal Ride’ which will start on Sunday 2nd August taking him and his team to Windsor.

The 300 mile trek will be Duncan’s biggest fundraising challenge thus far to raise funds for Douglas Macmillan Hospice, but the owner of a Unisex Hairdressers in Cheadle town Centre is pleased with training so far.

Duncan Cowans commented,

“We are out training 2-3 nights a week and are cycling on average around 80 miles each time which is great preparation for the Royal Ride.

“The support we have had from the people in Cheadle and the surrounding areas has been great so far; we’re just hoping to raise as much as possible for the Hospice.

Ken Horleston, Secretary at Cheadle Rotary added,

“We have supported Duncan’s fundraising in the past and we we’re more than happy to continue to support with his latest challenge.

“It will be tough but we have no doubt the team will do it and raises lot of much needed funds for Douglas Macmillan Hospice.”

Duncan Cowans would like to thank Cheadle Rotary, Servotech, Cheadle Cycles, Case Engineering, Stoddard’s Garage, The Huntsman Pub, Mr & Mrs, Peggy Lee, Eddie & Cynthia Grovenor, Signs Express and all other sponsors for their support.

The Royal Ride starts from the Huntsman pub in Cheadle on Sunday 2nd August.
