The Midlands leading electrical distributor Western Power Distribution will be sponsoring this year’s Dougie Mac Bike Ride, which takes place on Sunday 15th May at the Michelin Athletic Club.
Supporters will have a choice of three routes including a 10 mile local route, a 50 mile Nantwich route or the 110 mile Llangollen route.
The Dougie Mac Bike Ride has proved extremely popular with cyclists, attracting over 1000 entrants consecutively for the past two years.
WPD Team Manager Phil Wedgwood commented,
“We are delighted to sponsor the Dougie Mac Bike Ride again this year.
“We have been keen supporters of the charity for several years as we recognise that events like these help to raise vital funds for the charity in a really fun way.”
Suzi Smith, Corporate Fundraising and Events Head added,
“We’re delighted to once again have the support of Western Power Distribution for the Dougie Mac Bike Ride. A number of employees from Western Power will also be taking part and raising funds for the Hospice.
“All monies raised from the Dougie Mac Bike Ride will support local patients and families facing life limiting illnesses.”
