Salmon ready to soar at Dougie Mac Moonlight Walk

A Kingsley lady will honour the memory of her lifelong friend at Dougie Mac’s Moonlight Walk on Saturday 9th July at St. Peter’s Academy.

Linda Salmon, 63, is raising money for the Blurton-based hospice to thank them for the support they gave to Barbara Wilson.

Linda’s brother Denis also received care from Dougie Mac nurses three years ago.

Linda Salmon commented,

“Barbara was cared for at home and also came into the hospice for respite care. She didn’t mind coming into Dougie Mac as it always felt friendly and welcoming.

“The hospice was a nice place, not like what you expect from a hospice.”

Suzi Smith, Corporate Fundraising & Events Head added,

“We would like to thank Linda for her support of the Dougie Mac Moonlight Walk, and wish her well for the night.

“We always have a great response from ladies in the Staffordshire Moorlands, and we’re hoping for the same this year.”
