The Annual Douglas Macmillan Hospice Bring a Pound Day takes place on Friday 7th October this year.
This fund-raiser has generated more than £272, 000 for the charity since it was first staged in 2010.
Hospice corporate supporters, local businesses, staff from Signal Radio attended a launch event at the Wedgwood Visitors Centre last night.
Local businesses, schools and individuals can now start planning their activities by signing up HERE
Once this has been done, they will receive a fundraising pack, giving ideas of what fundraising activity could be organised along with a Bring a Pound Day Fundometer to monitor the money raised and a poster to promote their fundraising activities.

“W are really looking forward to this year’s event .The day has become a great way for the local community to raise invaluable funds for the Hospice. This year there will be a variety of different resources on our website to assist everybody with their fundraising. “
David Webster, Chief Executive at Douglas Macmillan Hospice added;
“The Dougie Mac Bring a Pound Day has become our biggest fundraising day and has developed into a real community opportunity to re-enforce the importance of the Dougie Mac to local people. We aim to make this year’s event our biggest success yet.”
