Jail or Bail Fundraising Initiative

Dougie Mac’s First Jail or Bail Fundraising Challenge

On Wednesday 14th February, Dougie Mac will be celebrating 45 years of providing local people with priceless care, free of charge.

To mark this very special occasion, Dougie Mac is introducing its first Jail or Bail fundraising challenge.

This new and exciting fundraising initiative will see prominent local business people, including Dougie Mac’s Chief Executive David Webster, being ‘arrested’ on 14th February.

The Dougie Mac inmates will be found guilty of a crime (fictional of course), taken into custody and banished to an undisclosed location. They will only secure their release if they can provide proof of fundraising at least £2,000 each.

Inmates can fundraise up to £1,000 before the event with the remaining £1,000 to be raised from the comfort of their cells.

Joining David in jail is; Ian Walker, Director of Fifteen Group; Dave Meakin, Driver for Jones & Shuffs; and Guy Basnett, Director of Target Windows.

David Webster, Dougie Mac Chief Executive, says:

“Staff & volunteers may be delighted at the prospect of me being locked up but I hope that they will help secure my release by supporting this fundraising initiative and helping Dougie Mac to continue delivering the excellent care we thrive on.”

Staying ever-optimistic despite his impending arrest, Guy Basnett from Target Windows comments:

“Target Windows are really pleased to be able to offer our support to the Dougie Mac Hospice. It is a fantastic charity that provides unrivalled care to so many people throughout Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Sadly we never know when we might need their help.

“Jail or Bail is a brilliant concept… I just hope that I can raise enough money to secure my release!”
