Dougie Mac’s latest charity shop opened in Trent Vale on 22nd August 2019.
The new shop, based at 7–10 Woodberry Close, ST4 5LU, offers great savings on a fantastic range of pre-loved goods. It is the hospice’s twenty-first shop in North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
Dougie Mac shops make a significant contribution every year to the funding of the hospice, supporting the patient services that it provides. It costs more than £12m annually to run the hospice, and last year, shops contributed more than £3m to this amount.
Head of Retail Liz Clarke said: “We are delighted to open our twenty-first shop and it is fantastic that Trent Vale will be hosting it, continuing the generous support of everyone in the community.
“All monies raised from this shop will help to support the excellent end of life care that so many local families have come to rely on.”
All Dougie Mac shops require generous donations of goods from the community all year round to generate the funds essential to the hospice. This includes quality clothing, toys, books, shoes, bags, DVDs and bric-a-brac.
The Trent Vale store is currently in need of these items plus volunteers to assist with sorting and preparing donated goods and serving customers. If you’d like to volunteer some time to support your local hospice and surrounding community, please contact email@example.com or call 01782 344332. The Trent Vale store is open for shopping and to drop off donations Monday–Saturday, 9:30 am–4:30 pm and Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
