We are proudly supporting the National Day of Reflection to remember those that have died during the pandemic and to show our support for everyone who has been bereaved.
23rd March 2021 marks the first anniversary of the UK’s first Covid-19 lockdown. Over the last year, hundreds of thousands of people have died. Too many lives have been cut short and millions have been bereaved. Whatever the cause, every death has been devastating for the people left behind and grief complicated as a result of the unprecedented restrictions implemented in the effort to control the pandemic that has affected people’s ability to properly say goodbye to loved ones and to grieve.
At midday, we will be observing a minutes silence and lighting a candle in our Spiritual Space to honour those who have died, show support for those bereaved and reflect on how we as a hospice have risen to the challenges created by the pandemic.
