What We Do

Our vision is… to be admired as a centre of excellence for palliative and end of life care.

Our mission is… to respond to the increasing needs of our patients in our heartland by growing as a sustainable organisation, delivering outstanding value for money for all our funding sources and always remaining true to our core values.

Dougie Mac provides all hospice services free of charge to over 3,500 patients with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages, also offering supportive care to their families and carers. We help adults living with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses such as advanced heart failure, Dementia, motor neurone disease and incurable lung diseases.

Helping you with every step of your journey…

Our dedicated staff and volunteers make a huge difference to a patient’s journey; they are central to the care we provide and all we do. We strive to go that extra mile to provide a warm, friendly and peaceful environment both at the hospice or in a family’s home.

The hospice is committed to expanding and improving its services, always striving to deliver the very best quality of care to meet the ever-changing needs of the local community. We are working hard to deliver the most appropriate care closer to home, which encourages the development of patient choice and independence, so our patients may achieve the very best quality of life, at a time when they need it most.
